“In a world of products built for looking back, we wanted to build something different: a place for the life still ahead of our son, not just the one already behind him.”
It’s a common refrain: the days are long but the years are short. But until you’re a parent, you don’t really come to appreciate how quickly time moves. After having our son, we realized there was so much we wanted to remember and share with him when he got older, but no real way to compile it all. Family stories are scattered across people and devices, rarely reaching those you most want to share them with. The more friends we talked to, the more we realized we weren’t alone in wanting to gather these memories so they could be experienced and shared for years to come.
We see Our Fable not only as this living archive that we get to share with our son as he grows older—a way for him to know us and his family—but also as a reminder for us to pause and take notice of the hours, the days, the months, and the years.
